Accessibility Statement
Last updated March 29, 2026.
Fuel aims to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on keyboards, screen readers, and other assistive technologies. We test against WCAG 2.2 AA-oriented patterns, but accessibility is an ongoing engineering process rather than a one-time claim.
Keyboard navigation
- All interactive controls are reachable via the Tab key in a logical order.
- Modal dialogs trap focus so keyboard users stay within the dialog until it is dismissed.
- Press ? on any page to open a keyboard shortcuts help overlay.
Screen readers
- Interactive controls carry ARIA labels that describe their purpose.
- Pages use semantic HTML elements (
nav, main, dialog) so assistive technology can identify page regions. - A skip-to-main-content link is available at the top of each page for quick navigation past the header.
Visual
- Fuel supports dark and light theme modes, toggled from Settings.
- Interactive elements display visible focus rings when navigated by keyboard.
- Dark mode maintains high contrast ratios for text and UI elements.
Motion
Fuel respects the prefers-reduced-motion media query. When your operating system or browser is set to reduce motion, CSS animations and transitions are minimized or disabled.
Known limitations
- The canvas-based Hydration Hustle game has limited screen reader support. Core gameplay information is not fully conveyed through non-visual channels.
- Some chart components use color as the only visual indicator. We are working to add patterns or labels as supplementary cues.
